Safe Offices Now: Protect District 15 ODHS Workers in Oregon City & North Clackamas
We, the undersigned District 15 workers at the SSP and Child Welfare offices within the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), call for immediate and meaningful action to improve safety conditions in our Oregon City and North Clackamas offices.
Every day, we serve our communities with dedication and care but we deserve to do so in workplaces that are safe, secure, and properly supported. Ongoing safety concerns put workers at risk and impact our ability to effectively serve the public.
We are demanding that District 15 ODHS leadership take urgent steps to:
- Assign at least two dedicated, trained security guards at all times in the SSP and Child Welfare offices in both Oregon City and North Clackamas.
- Ensure management presence onsite during all after hours operations to support staff and respond to safety concerns
Safe working conditions are not optional, they are essential. When workers are safe, the communities we serve are safer too.
We stand together in calling for accountability, action, and respect.
